Date: Monday, October 15, 2007 | Time: 2:10 PM
Fetal development in pregnancy week 26:Fetus in sixth month At long last, your little swimmer can see the womb! Your miracle’s little eyelids have finally separated (they were fused closed previously) and they’re probably having their first moments of sight as you read this (or maybe it already happened while you were brushing your teeth or watching Oprah or something). In addition to seeing their little studio in your belly, they’ve recently acquired the ability to say “yes” and “no” in rudimentary sign language as they can now move their head back and forth. This is also the time where your little super star’s head hair is starting to grow! A cute little cowlick or two may be springing into position right now, getting ready for years of cute-but-stubborn bed-head. Also, their toenails have grown in and you little raisin continues to slowly pile up fat beneath their still-loose skin. Most importantly, brain tissue and neurons are all developing at a rapid pace, increasing their (genius-level?) brain activity and will continue to function at accelerated levels for the first seven to eight years of childhood!

Week Twenty-Six
-Your baby may weigh about two pounds now (average is 1.7 pound, 760gm) and is 14 inches (35.6cm) in length
-To support the fetus's growing body, the spine is getting stronger and more supple. Though no longer than the span of the average adult hand, it is now made up of 150 joints, 33 rings, and some 1,000 ligaments.
-Air sacs in the lungs form now.
-Lungs begin to secrete a greasy substance called surfactant.
-Without surfactant the fetal lungs would stick together and couldn't expand after the baby is born.
-Although they've been sealed shut for the last few months, your baby's eyes are opening and beginning to blink this week.
-Depending on ethnicity, some babies will be born with blue or gray-blue eyes (which may change color in the first 6 months of life) and some will be born with brown or dark eyes.
-Retinas begin to form.
-Brain wave activity for hearing and sight begins to be detectable.
-Fetal brain scans show response to touch. If you shine a light on your abdomen, your baby will turn his head, which according to researchers, means his optic nerve is working.

Woke up at 5:30am today, got to Subang terminal 1 around 7am, got in at 7:30am and all finished at about 10:15am :)
I thought i had to go back another day to collect my new passport, but nah... i got it on the same day which is good!!!
**Thank u SweetHeart!!**Came home and slept twice... i think i only slept 2hrs lastnight.. i couldnt fall asleep. My first nap was about 2hrs... then i woke up.. we had Pizza! hehe!! with extra cheese of course;) Then watched a lil' bit of tv, then felt sleepy again.. so i slept.
I woke up about an hour ago... and now my SweetHeart is sleeping :) He's such a lil princess when he sleeps hehe!!!!
Within that hour, i cooked our dinner & now im waiting for him to wake up. I dont think its good to wake him up 1/2 way through his sleep to eat.. probably wont have the apetite.
I miss my Mimi:( everytime i see her.. i remember all the good times we had hehe! yes... i do :) When i look at her photos... it makes me miss her more *cries*
But not to worry... shes now living 5 mins away from me at my hubbys god sisters house. I think shes doin better there... eating better food (as in actual dog foods & no human foods....) so her fur is shedding less and shes lost weight... proper diet... she never got a proper diet with us lol! she eats nearly everything we eat (only a lil bit), shes seeing more people... with us.. she basically only saw us lol! and shes been playing with some dogs that live near her... i think :)
So yeah.. her life is probably more happier there with all the new things going on. She was happy with us i know... maybe shes happy both places..
We were told that shes really good (Kwai) and doesnt do anything wrong.. wow! that was a surprise! Over here with us.. she went through the rubbish most days, shitted in the wrong places sometimes..
Glad to know and see that shes doing fine! Much luv always!!
btw: shes not living with us anymore cuz its really hard for me to clean the house with all her fur.. and its alot of fur! And when my baby is born, he cant be inhaling Mimi's fur. But we do miss her and visit her every week... and she remembers us! :)

Hmmm... was suppose to go get my passport done today... but my alarm didnt go off (oopz!) and it was raining really hard.... so we decided to go back to sleep hehe!
But if we did go, i think it wouldve been good, cuz there wouldnt be so much people, as it was raining.
So i guess we'll be goin tomorrow... i HOPE they will renew my passport, and not make me get a new one. I dont wanna have to go to Singapore to renew my NZ PR :( Specially if my Sweetheart cant go with me :(
I read in the Immigration site that passports expires after 5yrs, and cannot be renewed.... But hopefully they'll renew mine, as i havent used my passport at all... thus... I can keep my passport and PR, and dont have to go to singapore :)
Wish me Luck....
